Dary'a Ross, LCMHCA (she/her)
Therapist for women and mothers in Charlotte, NC

I am here to help you navigate life's challenges; whether rooted in trauma, anxiety, relationship stress, or the weight of daily expectations. I believe in the power of a safe, supportive space where healing and growth are possible. I am passionate about walking alongside women, mothers, teens, and families as they reconnect with their strengths, develop deeper self-awareness, and move toward a more empowered and authentic life.
I hold a special space for mothers navigating pregnancy, postpartum, identity shifts, burnout, guilt, and the quiet exhaustion that so often goes unseen. Whether you’re holding a career, a household, your children’s emotions or all of the above, I’m here to help you hold yourself, too.
I offer a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach grounded in evidence-based practices, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and strengths-based interventions. I tailor my work to each individual’s unique experiences, values, and goals, helping clients process the past, find balance in the present, and cultivate confidence for the future.
My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including community-based mental health, intensive in-home services, and outpatient counseling. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, life transitions, and relationship concerns. I also have experience working with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism, and I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected.
My approach is warm, structured, and collaborative. I believe therapy should feel both emotionally safe and actively empowering. Together, we work to build practical coping tools, strengthen emotional resilience, and foster meaningful personal growth.
Outside of the therapy space, I find joy in travel, spending quality time with family and friends, and staying grounded through the same practices I encourage in sessions: presence, connection, and small daily moments of joy. I receive clinical supervision by Shawna Lauer, LMFT-QS.
