Venus Kennedy, LCMHCS (she/her)
Owner and Therapist in Charlotte, NC

Women face many challenges in life. We work hard to balance the expectations of our career, our home life and our relationships. As women we often put ourselves last as we focus on the needs of others.
I am here to help you sort through these expectations so you can find a healthy balance, peace, and most importantly feel like yourself again. If you are a woman and are experiencing anxiety, depression, shame or guilt - I am here to help.
I have dedicated my career to helping women grow through their challenging moments. I truly believe with the right support we can heal and come out on the other side with wisdom and a different perspective on life. I enjoy helping women see their strengths, teach them tools and help them find hope and resilience.
I believe that when women are supported, entire communities thrive. That belief led me to create Charlotte Women’s Counseling, a practice that has grown from a solo office into a thriving team dedicated to women’s mental health across every stage of life.
As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor with over a decade of experience, I have specialized expertise in trauma, EMDR, and perinatal mental health, including pregnancy, postpartum, and infertility. I not only work with women navigating these challenges, but also train, mentor, and supervise future clinicians—extending the impact of high-quality care for years to come.
Beyond the therapy room, I am passionate about transforming workplaces into environments where women can succeed without sacrificing their well-being. As a proud member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, I bring both clinical insight and business leadership to the table. Through speaking engagements and customized workplace wellness workshops, I partner with companies to help women in their organizations reduce burnout, find balance, and build resilience—leading to stronger teams and healthier cultures.
As a mother, business owner, and leader, I understand firsthand the demands women carry and the cost of neglecting our own needs. My mission is to change that narrative—by equipping both women and workplaces with the tools to create balance, confidence, and long-term success.
While I am not currently accepting new clients, my team is here to support you. Please email hello@charlottewomenscounseling.com for assistance.
