Led by Therapist Michelle Fernandez, LCMHCA
The Journey to pregnancy when facing infertility can be emotionally overwhelming. You may find yourself experiencing mood swings alternating between apathy & numbness to intolerable pain & despair. Just the sight of a baby wrapped in someone's arms or the sight of a stranger with a big, round pregnant belly walking past activates the intense feelings of shame, envy, despair, anger, and hopelessness. We are here to provide you a safe space to share all and find community and support for your emotions on this journey.
Week One: Invisible loss and grief - naming the things we often don’t name.
Week Two: Identity - We will explore the ways that infertility affects, interrupts, and shifts identity.
Week Three: Partnership - We will explore how partnership can be affected by the infertility journey.
Week Four: Depression, anxiety and anger - We will explore some of the ways these feelings show up and talk about support tools.
Week Five: Boundaries - We will speak candidly about how to set boundaries during this time with those you love.
Week Six: Community - We will explore the benefits and supports community can provide for a very isolating experience.
