Alyssa Paglio, LCSWA, (she/her)
Therapist for teens, women and mothers in Charlotte, NC

If you’re a new mom feeling overwhelmed, navigating the transition into parenthood, or finding yourself stretched thin by anxiety, self-doubt, or life changes — you’re not alone. Therapy can be a space to slow down, feel supported, and reconnect with yourself.
I am especially passionate about supporting women through the postpartum period, including experiences of anxiety, depression, and intrusive or distressing thoughts. These challenges are more common than many realize, yet often go unspoken. As both a clinician and a mother, I bring not only clinical training but also a deep appreciation for the emotional, physical, and relational shifts that can come with this stage of life.
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and able to talk openly about what you’re going through without fear of judgment.
In addition to working with postpartum clients, I support adolescents, young adults, and individuals navigating major life transitions, identity shifts, and relationship changes.
My approach is grounded, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I focus on building safety and connection while helping clients better understand themselves, regulate their emotions, and develop practical tools for everyday life. This often includes supporting parents as they reflect on their own experiences and work toward creating more connected, intentional relationships with their children. I believe therapy should be tailored to each individual — not a one-size-fits-all model.
My background includes experience as a school social worker, residential supervisor for pregnant and parenting teens, child protective services worker, homeless outreach coordinator, and therapist in group practice. These roles have shaped my understanding of how systems, trauma, and life circumstances impact mental health, as well as the resilience it takes to heal and move forward.
Together, we will work toward helping you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to what matters most.
Outside of the therapy space, you can often find me spending time with my daughter at the playground, getting lost in a good book, or trying a new drink at a local coffee shop.
As an associate clinician, I receive clinical supervision from Tameka Whittlesey, LCSW, LCASA.
