Join us for this 2-hour workshop, where Licensed therapist and resident art interventionist Michelle Fernandez will use a combination of art and therapy to walk you through defining what boundaries are and aren’t. Michelle will work with you to identify three types of boundaries and help adjust the sometimes clinical language around this subject to feel accessible, enactable, and impactful. Boundaries are intrinsically rooted in love. How can I love myself AND you? By meeting you with my authentic and steady boundaries.
In this interactive session, you will:
-Define: "What is a boundary?"
-Explore setting healthy boundaries.
-Learn strategies for maintaining the boundaries you have set.
-Participate in a guided clay activity.
Boundaries, boundaries, boundaries. Do you keep hearing this but feel lost on what this seemingly magic word means? Do you laugh when you even try to picture yourself setting a boundary, or do you feel scared that you will be left isolated and alone if you place your boundaries? Setting boundaries doesn't mean isolation, and it doesn’t mean just cutting people off. It does mean more authentic connection, better ways of showing up, and better language for your needs.
Does this still sound overwhelming? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. This workshop will help you establish limits protecting your well-being while fostering more profound, authentic, and sustainable connections with yourself and others. We hope you will join us!
